Who we are

GMW Bioscience is a CRO based in Valencia, South Eastern Spain, one of the most important agricultural areas in the country. However, we also cover other regions such as Northern and Southern Spain for all major as well as minor crops.
GMW’s personnel (mainly formed by agronomists and biologists) has recognized experience in the conduct of efficacy trials on both chemical and biological products, residues in plant, soil dissipation as well as ecotoxicological studies carried out in compliance with current European guidelines (OECD, SETAC, EPPO, CEB, etc.).

Geographical areas we cover

GMW Bioscience offers its extensive knowledge of national requirements to perform a wide range of efficacy studies (GEP) for registration, product development and demonstration. Efficacy studies are conducted in compliance with current European guidelines (EPPO, CEB, BBA) or according to specific requirements. Appropriate site selection, climate and cropping regions are important factors we take into account for the successful conduct of your efficacy trials. Plant protection products such as fungicides, herbicides, insecticides and growth regulators are tested on small plots with natural or artificial infestation of target pests.

The Testing Facility and company headquarters are located in Valencia (Alberic), with a test site in the North of Spain (Santiago de Compostela) and the possibility to conduct studies throughout Spain. Our staff has experience in all crops grown in the Mediterranean region, such as alfalfa, almond, apple, apricot, artichoke, beans, cabbage, cauliflower, carrot, celery, cherry, cucumber, eggplant, Loquat fig, grapes, kiwi, leek, lettuce, maize, mandarin, melon, nectarine, olive, onion, orange, peach, peanut, pear, pepper, persimon, plum, potato, quince, rice, spinach, strawberry, tigernut, tobacco, tomato, watermelon, wheat and zucchini. Some trials have also been conducted in the Canary Islands thanks to our agreement with the Canary Islands Institute of Agricultural Research (ICIA).
